"Women Warriors", 26"x36" watercolor, framed.      In the highlands of Papua New Guinea they have an annual "Sing Sing", where different groups of warriors compete for the best dances and costumes. All tribal warfare is suspended and people are encouraged to get to know each other and make peace. This painting was inspired by a group of very fierce and beautiful women. The painting won a second place in the "Colorado Watercolor Society Show in l997.
